Dominic Felts

Biography

Dominic is a Bass-Baritone from Lincolnshire. He graduated with Distinction from the Masters (Vocal Studies) programme at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2023. During his studies, Dominic won competitions in English and French song, and was awarded the Wilfred Greenhouse Allt Prize for Oratorio and Cantata. 

A versatile singer, he is equally at home performing in opera, oratorio and choral ensembles. Recent opera roles include; Antinoo in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria (Trinity Laban), Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen (Trinity Laban), A Watchman in Simone Spagnolo’s All Rest (Wanstead Fringe Festival), and Don Iñigo Gomez in Ravel’s L’Heure Espagnole (Ernest Reid Symphony Orchestra). 

As a soloist, Dominic’s recent highlights include performing as soloist in Bach’s St John Passion in Brașov, Romania and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria at Buxton International Festival. 

Dominic has trained with many world-renowned vocal ensembles including The Sixteen, Stile Antico and VOCES8. Dominic now regularly performs with the VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble, St Martin’s Voices, Philharmonia Chorus and his own group the New Eden Consort, touring internationally in Europe and the USA. 

As well as performing, Dominic is passionate about music education. He leads singing workshops in schools with the VOCES8 Foundation and assists on nation-wide projects with Gabrieli Roar.
